Kindergarten - 6th grade: Students will learn how authors and illustrators turn their ideas into books by participating in the creation of an original story. Through sketches and behind-the-book anecdotes, the step-by-step book-making process becomes accessible to even the youngest student. Every presentation features several books, at least two sketches, and Q&A time to address the individual interests of young writers and artists.
7th grade through adult: Through a Powerpoint or slide presentation, a career in illustration, writing or the arts is explored. Each presentation offers a behind-the-scene view of several books, tips on preparing for and entering the business, a Q&A session and, if suitable, sketches as well.
Workshops: More personal, one-on-one programs with smaller groups of selected students and/or adults who have an interest in writing or illustrating.
